Branch Care Manager
My role for Helping Hands is supporting an outstanding company to provide great care to its clients and ensure our team of carers are supported to achieve and provide that care and meet their own personal goals. Great care is about enabling our clients to remain in their homes with the support that is tailored for their needs and wants. It is about listening and ensuring our clients voices are heard. It's about being that voice when they need us to be. What inspired me to join the care industry: my mum. I was brought up by nurses in my family, experienced old school nurses. Where care was about your patients needs and wants. When they were able to give their time to their patients. The respect she commanded from her nurses was awe inspiring, she cared about her patients, her team and her wards beyond thought. I have been fortunate to be offered a role with Helping Hands Epsom working with an amazing established team. The dynamic between all the carers is fantastic to see and I look forward to working with them and our clients. I am fortunate to have an amazing family, children and grandchildren. They keep me on my toes and busy. I enjoy an eclectic lifestyle, music concerts/festivals, the theatre, exhibitions, travelling when possible. I love history, English and art. I enjoy reading, gardening, building and creating homemade goods. I enjoy cake making and entertaining friends and family where possible. I hold qualifications in childcare, I am a qualified Level 3 massage therapist, Level 2 Indian head massage therapist, I have studied aromatherapy and hot stone therapy. I hold my Level 2 in Health and Social care, Level 3 in Education and Training, Train the trainer IPC. I am also working towards my Level 5 in Health and Social care.

Why Helping Hands is better than a care agency in Dorking
Helping Hands are a private care provider, rather than a care agency, which means we offer a number of guarantees that many agencies simply don’t. For instance, every single one of our carers is directly recruited, vetted and trained by us, which means you can have full confidence that they’ll always be of a certain calibre and character. The entire cost of your care will always be covered in your initial care agreement, so you won’t be landed with any hidden fees or unexpected costs, and if your scheduled carer is taken ill we’ll always provide someone to cover – no matter how short notice it may be.
Qualified carers providing a variety of care services in Dorking
One of the things that our customers consistently love most about our care is the wonderful carers providing it. We’re extremely particular about who we hire to our Dorking care team, making sure to only recruit people who share our company-wide family values and who are as passionate as we are about delivering genuinely transformative support. All of our carers have undergone extensive background checks before starting with us, and will receive our industry-leading carer training when they first join. This initial training is then supplemented by ongoing refresher courses, to ensure each carer’s knowledge and skillset is kept up to date with the latest care industry standards and best practices.
